The Club at Porto Cima cuts back for winter in steps. The Yacht Club pool went first, then the Tiki Bar grille. On November 1 the clubhouse restaurant drops its weekday afternoon hours, and for November and December it serves dinner only three nights a week. A Porto Cima resident who wants a weeknight meal out this winter will mostly be eating outside the gate. Between the Tavern at Trails End, Chances 'R' in Laurie and the clubhouse, every evening of the week has at least one posted dinner option except Tuesday.
October 1 was the first thing to close
The Club's hours page shows each stage in order:
- October 1, 2026. The Yacht Club pool and Tiki Bar closed for the year. The Tiki Bar grille is listed as closed for the season, and members can order food to go from the clubhouse through the bartender.
- October. The clubhouse restaurant runs Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. It's closed Mondays.
- November and December. Tuesday and Wednesday service now ends at 3 p.m. Sunday stays 10 to 3, and Thursday through Saturday still runs 11 to 8.
- January. The posted schedule lists the restaurant as closed for the whole month.

November and December: lunch stays, most dinners go
The cuts make more sense next to the summer schedule. From May through September, the dining room stays open until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and until 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Brunch, lunch and the Thursday-through-Saturday dinners all carry through from October. Wednesday dinner, which ran until 8 p.m. all summer, is already gone, and from November on the dining room closes at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The club is also closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Thursday stays a full service day for a reason. The Club's social events page counts "Burger Night every Thursday night" among member favorites. The same page lists the Christmas Family Dinner, wine dinners and progressive dinners as regular events, but it doesn't give 2026 dates for any of them.
The golf shop cuts back on the same schedule. It runs 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through October, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in November, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from December through February, weather permitting. It's closed Mondays all year.
Filling the week from outside the gate
The nearby kitchens tend to be open on the days the clubhouse isn't, and none of the gaps overlap except Tuesday.
The Tavern at Trails End, at 258 Trails End Drive in Sunrise Beach, serves dinner Thursday through Monday. Hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday. That covers Monday, when the club is closed, and Sunday evening after the club's brunch ends at 3.
Chances 'R', at 310 S. Main Street in Laurie, posts its own "Fall & Winter Hours." It's open Wednesday through Monday from 7 a.m., closing at 8:30 p.m. most nights and at 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and it's closed Tuesday. That makes it the one place on this list serving Wednesday dinner after the clubhouse closes at 3.
Weekenders Grill and Market is inside Woods Supermarket at 13655 MO-5 in Sunrise Beach. It's open Tuesday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed Sunday and Monday. It opens five hours before the clubhouse on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which makes it the early stop.
Franky & Louie's currently lists itself as open Friday through Sunday. Its site describes the switch to weekend hours as part of heading "further into the season," so call before driving over in December.

Most of these pages don't say what year their hours apply to, so treat the table as posted hours and call ahead, especially around the holidays.
Tuesday night is the gap
Tuesday is the one evening when nothing on this list serves dinner. The club stops at 3 p.m., Weekenders closes at 3 p.m., and both the Tavern and Chances 'R' are closed all day. Weekenders' market is open while the grill runs, so a Tuesday plan might be breakfast there and groceries on the way out.
For fuel and quick stops closer to the gate, Lake Expo reported the opening of Woodrow's at Shawnee Bend Landing, a gas station and convenience store at MM and Shawnee Bend 4. The same article said a car wash and an extended-bay boat wash are planned for a later phase of the project. The article doesn't list store hours.
Dated stops between now and Christmas
The calendar also gets shorter. These are the dated events within a short drive, in order:
- Sunday, October 25, 5 to 6:30 p.m. Captain Ron's 20th annual Kids Spooktacular in Sunrise Beach. Captain Ron's is open Friday through Sunday this month.
- Saturday, October 31. Two adult Halloween parties: Captain Ron's 20th annual, and Franky & Louie's from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. with a DJ and a costume contest.
- Sunday, November 1. Captain Ron's last day of the regular season, half off.
- Thursday, November 5, 8 to 9 a.m. Lake West Chamber's Coffee with the Chamber at 123 Oddo Drive.
- Wednesday, November 25. Captain Ron's reopens from 5 p.m. to close for Blackout Wednesday, the night before Thanksgiving, when the clubhouse is closed.
- Saturday, November 28, 6 to 8 p.m. The 25th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade in Laurie runs from Central Bank to Laurie Terrace Mall, with visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus afterward. It's a short drive from Chances 'R' on S. Main Street.
- Thursday, December 3, 8 to 9 a.m. Another Coffee with the Chamber at 123 Oddo Drive.
- Saturdays, December 5 and 12, 5 to 9 p.m. Captain Ron's pop-up Christmas parties.
January follows the club's posted pattern
The clubhouse's posted schedule lists the restaurant closed for all of January, and the last reopening date it printed was February 12, 2026. The club hasn't posted a 2027 date yet. If it follows that pattern, the dining room reopens in February with Thursday-through-Saturday service only and Sunday through Wednesday closed. Sunday brunch returns in March.
The golf shop doesn't close. Its posted 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. hours run through February, weather permitting and closed Mondays, so the shop stays open through January while the dining room is closed.
That puts the Tavern at Trails End, Chances 'R' and Weekenders back on the January list, as long as their posted hours hold. It's worth calling the club at 573-207-8700 in late January to confirm the 2027 reopening before planning a February dinner.
